European Institute for Non-Destructive Testing EINDT

“A European nonprofit partnership to promote NDT and related fields for the benefit of industry, the wider community of users and the professions”

 


The European Institute for Non-Destructive Testing (EINDT) was founded in June 2018 as a nonprofit association in Gothenburgat the 12th European Conference for Non-Destructive Testing (ECNDT 2018). Multiple national NDT societies, Research Institutes, Universities agreed to set up an NDT association on European level. Full membership is open to national NDT societies. Associate membership is open globally. 


Main objectives of EINDT are:


* to develop relevant Working Groups, the results of which should give answers to NDT questions of industrial level with a special focus on innovation and Advancing NDT
* to support a European system of personnel qualification
* Personnel certification monitoring based on EN 473/ISO 9712 by EINDT members
* Qualification and Certification monitoring based on accreditation in line with EN 45013/ISO 17024 within the EINDT Mutual Recognition Agreement
* to support a European Certification Program

Furthermore EINDT is:


* a contribution to bundle the different NDT key approaches in Europe and globally
* a promotion of total innovation and advancing quality in NDT for the benefit of all EINDT members, NDT users and wider societies
* a demonstration of performance to strengthen confidence in NDT
* a guide for global NDT co-operation in close connection with all regions



EINDT is PARTNERSHIP FOR INNOVATION, ADVANCE, SAFETY AND QUALITY 

and an excellent opportunity to strengthen global collaboration for Advancing NDT.

EINDT Values and Principles: 

​

  1. Members adopt a Code of Ethics as a common basis.

  2. Members are dedicated to public safety in a technological world.

  3. Members maintain a high level of quality with respect to their activities.

  4. Members promote the value of NDT and related topics, in particular the certification of NDT personnel, in society and in industry.

  5. Members shall promote, as a valuable instrument, the assurance of competence through accreditation, training and certification.

  6. Members consider that knowledge about NDT and related topics will be strengthened, harmonised and disseminated by means of conferences, symposia, publications and other media.

  7. Members shall, where appropriate, support research and development.

  8. Members shall, where appropriate, be actively involved in standardisation.

  9. Members will strive to make certification processes equivalent throughout Europe
